This work is an integral part of my life. It is my meditation. I'm drawn to reveal the essence of the landscape as I remember it. The work rides the line between abstraction and realism, photography and painting - hopefully causing the viewer to question the nature of perception and the relevance of aesthetic to process.
*Wenge is an imported African hardwood featuring a rich dark chocolate brown color with striations of black and dark red-orange. The wenge frames are locally milled, joined, and finished.
