Spirari is taken from the latin "spirare" meaning "to breathe". With this new series I aim to call attention to the grace & beauty of form in the entrancing movement of fire. I'm inspired by the delicate movement that comes from such a harsh element, and want to present it in a way that isolates and re-presents the form (hence the unique color palette, and the fact that the images are commonly mistaken for smoke, ink or fabric).
Each image is sold in editions of 3, no matter the size. These are all printed on canvas, stretched, coated with a high gloss UV protectant, and then finished with a custom white canvas floater frame.
